Martha Ann "Mardi" Ramaley-Snider

Born Martha Ann Ramaley, in New Alexandria, Pennsylvania.  She was the oldest of 9 children born to William and Pauline Ramaley.  She proudly attended college at University of Pittsburgh and was a lifetime Pitt fan.  She loved all things Pittsburgh - the city, the Pittsburgh Steelers and, of course, the University.  She left Pittsburgh and moved to Orlando, Florida with her first marriage.  She missed Pittsburgh but loved weekend trips to the ocean and visiting theme parks with relatives.  Many of her siblings and her parents followed her to Florida and this was a blessing:  she loved having everyone together for holidays - with 8 siblings and their families, it was a large crowd for Thanksgivings, Christmases and Easters!
She raised her daughter, Jenifer Rainer, and attended Rollins College and UCF to study Educational Technology.  She worked for 30 years at Valencia Community College, playing a role in the implementation of automated student records before building and managing the student computer lab at Valencia Community College West Campus.  She was passionate about the creative potential in technology. She was a true Apple evangelist from the very outset.

In 1991 she married William Snider and remained joyfully married for the rest of her life.  They enjoyed traveling, fine wine and dining, home improvement projects, and hosting parties together.  She adored her dogs, Muffin and Hannah, and took the very best care of them.

Her interest in genealogy led her to join the DAR in 2002. Never satisfied with "just enough", she continued to research her family history and found 3 more Patriots in her family line.

She leaves behind her husband, daughter, extended family and friends. She will be surely missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
