FORT LAWN, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Martha Jordan Lazenby, age 88, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Westminister Help and Rehab Center in Rock Hill. She was born June 6, 1920 in Fort Lawn, SC the daughter of the late Oscar Allen Jordan and Mamie Ferguson Jordan and was the wife of the late Lunsford Clifton Lazenby, Sr. Mrs. Lazenby was a homemaker, competed in flower competitions and was know for her daylilies and was a lifelong member of Fort Lawn Baptist Church. Mrs. Lazenby is survived by a sister, Mary J. Mitchell of Rock Hill, daughter-in-laws, Gwen Lazenby and Barbara Lazenby both of Fort Lawn, and 4 grandchildren, Gweneth L. Folgeson, William Gilbert Lazenby, Robert Jordan Lazenby, and William Cobett Lazenby.Mrs. Lazenby was preceded in death by 2 sons, Lunsford Clifton Lazenby, Jr. and William Jordan Lazenby, 3 brothers, Clarence Jordan, Allen Oscar Jordan, and Joe Bradley Jordan, and 2 sisters, Margaret J. Roddey and Frances J. Culp. The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Lazenby will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Elmwood Cemetery by Rev. Carroll Arant and Rev. Travis Cook with burial to follow.
