ROCK HILL, SC –Mr. Mark Warren Edwards, age 61, owner of Charlotte Forklift Sales, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, November 4, 2023, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. He was surrounded by family, friends, and Pastor Barry Yates.

Born November 24, 1961, in Lancaster, SC to Bobby Joe Edwards and Sara Walters Edwards. Mr. Edwards was blessed with a full life that included many experiences and opportunities. In 1979, he graduated from Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, VA and went on to play football for Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. His time in Louisiana forged a lifelong love of Louisiana: the food, the culture, and especially the people. After college, he began working in the heavy industrial vehicles industry as a forklift salesman before establishing Charlotte Forklift Sales in Fort Lawn, SC.

His parents, Bobby Joe Edwards and Sara Walters Edwards, preceded him in death. He is survived by brother, Michael Eugene Edwards (Angela); sister, Myra Edwards Reeves; and children, Taylor Ashley Edwards, William Michael Edwards, and Elizabeth Brooke Edwards.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mark will be 3:00 pm Friday November 10, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date at Lancaster Memorial Park.
