LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Marjorie Estridge Plyler, age 76, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born April 29, 1933 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Bishop Ansel Estridge and Callie Bowers Estridge and was the wife of Robert Morrison Plyler. Mrs. Plyler retired from Springs Industries - Lancaster Plant and was a member of Springdell Baptist Church.Mrs. Plyler is survived by her husband, Robert Morrison Plyler of the home, a son, Dale Plyler and his wife Debbie of Lancaster, 2 brothers, Ferris Estridge and his wife Barbara and Bill Estridge and his wife Ruby, a sister, Frances E. Mullis and her husband Sherrill all of Lancaster, and a granddaughter, Alison M. Plyler.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Plyler will be 3:00 pm, Thursday afternoon, October 29, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Donald Tillman with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm and suggest memorial contributions be made to Springdell Baptist Church, 1420 Springdell Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
