Fort Lawn, SC.Mrs. Marianna Pearce White, age 73, died Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was born August 22, 1942 in Fort Lawn, SC, a daughter of the late Eugene Pearce and Margaret McFadden Pearce Griffin. She retired after working many years at the Chester County Tax Accessors Office. She enjoyed taking care of her many cats and dogs. Mrs. White loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. White is survived by two daughters, Donna Wilder and her husband, Robert, and Kelli Melton of the home, two grandchildren, Baylee Guthrie and Lane Melton; a brother, George Thomas Pearce and his wife, Diane; two nieces, Beth Winge and her husband, Johnny and Susan Cooper and her husband, Tracy.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Alice Jean Pearce.

Mrs. Whites family would like to extend a special thank you to her special friends, Martha Nunnery and Karen Bellavance.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Memorial Service for Mrs. White will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery, Fort Lawn, SC by Rev. Karen Richmond.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Monday evening at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster. The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to Lancaster SPCA, PO Box 3042, Lancaster, SC 29720.
