Marian Blackmon Hough passed away Monday, September 25th, 2023 peacefully at her home.  She was born August 2, 1933 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Amos Dabney Blackmon and Connie Hinson Blackmon.  Ms. Hough found true joy when surrounded by her family.  She cherished her Bible and offered prayers from the heart.  Ms. Hough had a remarkable spirit and her kindness touched many.  She had a special gift for bringing loved ones together around delicious meals.

Ms. Hough was a member at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and an Eastern Star.  She owned and operated two Sears stores. She opened her own real estate company. Upon retirement, Ms. Hough enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, baking, and reading.

Ms. Hough was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hough.  She is survived by her son and daughter, Lynn (Katie) Hough and Myra (Bill) Stanziale; four grandchildren, Shawn (Angel) Hough, Richard (Suzanne) Hough, Robert (Lindsay) Hough and Elizabeth (Tom) Ruff; twelve great grandchildren, Dante, Elijah, Frankie, Ezra, Will, McKinley, Katlyn, Austin, Zane, Turner, Thomas and Ellison; one sister Lula (Ralph) Snipes and many nieces and nephews.

Ms. Hough was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam Hinson, Johnny Hinson, Austin Blackmon, Ben Blackmon and one sister, Polly Walters.

The family will receive friends and family from 1 pm to 2 pm on Wednesday, September 27th at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church prior to the Celebration of Life service.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Hough will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 27th at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Dr. Jessie Adams.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
