LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Margie Chapman Williams, age 81, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. She was a resident of White Oak Manor Nursing Home for two years and the City of Lancaster previously. Margie graduated from Indian Land High School in 1959 and immediately began working for Springs Industries and remained there for 44 years. She is the daughter of the late William Herman Chapman and Ellie Marie Baucom Chapman.

Margie is survived by her partner in life, Ray Phillips; her daughter, Sandy Caruso (C.J.); her son, Tony Williams; three grandchildren, Jessica McClora, Adam Pearson (Haley), and Alec Pearson; and her brother, Carl Chapman (Elaine).

Margie was preceded in death by her parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Margie will be 3:00 pm Thursday, April 7, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
