MONROE, NC ~ Mrs. Margie Roberts Mclain, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.  She was born July 16, 1956, the daughter of Flora Mae Stacks McManus and the late John T. Roberts and was the wife of the late Timothy Mclain. Mrs. Roberts enjoyed swimming, playing board games, cleaning, and singing karaoke. She loved driving her red corvette and vacationing at the beach. Mrs. Roberts had a fun and loving personality that would light up any room she entered. She had a passion for taking care of her mother. Mrs. Roberts had a great sense of humor and she loved to collect antiques.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her son, Manley "Trey" Brice Bowers III; her mother, Flora McManus; her five siblings, Evelyn McManus (Robert Gary Phillips), Gina Deas (Mike), Daryl McManus, Karen O'Dell (Paxton), and Kim McManus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Mclain; and her father, John T. Roberts.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Roberts will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 22, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated Rev. J.D. Wilson. Burial will follow at Immanuel Baptist Church Cemetery, 9112 Lancaster Hwy, Waxhaw, NC 28173.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home.
