LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Margie Ann Cauthen Rodgers, age 81, died Monday, December 30, 2013. She was born January 13, 1932 in Beckwith, WV, the daughter of the late Walter Andrew Cauthen and Pearl McMurray Cauthen and was the wife of Fenton E. Rodgers, Sr. Mrs. Rodgers was a homemaker, a member of Eastern Star and Second Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her husband, Fenton E. Rodgers, Sr., three sons, Fenton E. "Chuck" Rodgers, Jr., Seth Andrew Rodgers and his wife Sandra and Quinton McMurray Rodgers and his wife Cindy all of Lancaster, five grandchildren, Taylor Rodgers, Tyler Rodgers, Faynette Waldrop, Kristen Boykin and Devin Rodgers, and three great grandchildren, Gunner Deas, Abby Waldrop and Gabby Waldrop.
Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by two brothers, Cletus Cauthen and Bill Cauthen, and a sister, Louise Powell.
The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Rodgers will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Dr. Brian Saxon, Rev. Larry Helm and Rev. Tim Anderson. Burial to follow.
The Family of Mrs. Rodgers will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 pm Thursday at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
