LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Margarete Bohley Starnes, age 74, entered into her heavenly home Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. She was born July 23, 1936 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, the daughter of the late Herman Bohley and Frieda Bohley and was the wife of the late James Richard Starnes. Mrs. Starnes was a homemaker and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Starnes is survived by a son, Jimmy Starnes and his wife Dale of Lancaster, 3 daughters, Lynn Rowell and her husband David of Lancaster, Susan Smith and her husband Rick of Charlotte, and Frances Shehane and her husband Danny Marze of Heath Springs,1 brothers and 3 sisters, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Starnes was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Marie Starnes.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Starnes will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Marty Roberts and Rev. Dale Walters. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls. The Family of Mrs. Starnes will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday evening, March 1, 2011 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials to The Gideon's of Lancaster, PO Box 1302, Lancaster SC 29721.
