LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Margaret Gay Boone, age 75, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022. She was born June 6, 1946, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Herman Gay and Viola Hill Gay and was the wife of Corley Boone Jr. Mrs. Boone enjoyed crafts, working in her flowers, cooking for her family, and her favorite holiday, Christmas. She loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Boone was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church where she loved her church and her church family.

Mrs. Boone is survived by her husband of 54 years, Corley Boone Jr.; two daughters, Kim Williams, and Karen Stevens (Michael); three grandchildren, Miranda Outen (Corey), Samantha Merrill (Trevor), and Amy Williams; two great grandsons, Nathaniel "Nate" Merrill, and CJ "Scoot" Outen; her brother, Randy Gay (Kay); and her sister, Mary Ellen Ackerman.

Mrs. Boone was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill Gay, and Andrew Gay; a sister, Frankie Phillips; and two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Ackerman, and Bob Phillips.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Boone will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mitch Ingram. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church in the Sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, General Fund, 1697 N Rocky River Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
