LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Margaret Black Wilson, age 92, died Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2008 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 25, 1916 in York County, the daughter of the late Jasper William Black and Carrie Moffet Black and was the wife of the late Robert Wesley Wilson. Mrs. Wilson retired from J.P. Stevens and was a companion for many of the elderly. She was a charter member of Covenant Baptist Church and a member of the Saga Group.Mrs. Wilson is survived by 2 daughters, Sylvia W. Plyler and her husband Lowry of Lancaster and Starr McMullen and her husband Paul of Fort Myers, Florida, 7 grandchildren, Henry Surratt, Arlene Rollins, Tami Lenning, Lori Hall, Gene McMullen, Tonya McMullen, and Wesley McMullen, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by a son, Basil Wesley Wilson, a daughter, Nancy W. Surratt, a granddaughter, Delores Hinson, 2 great grandchildren, Jamie Blanton and Amber Lenning, 2 brothers, Tom Black and J.W. Black, and 4 sisters, Rebecca Gallman, Annie Roberts, Polly Bigham, and Cora Knight.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Wilson will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday afternoon, October 29, 2008 at Covenant Baptist Church by Dr. Bert Welch with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls. The Family of Mrs. Wilson will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Wednesday afternoon at Covenant Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Covenant Baptist Church or Family Promise, PO Box 578, Lancaster, SC 29720.
