Lancaster, SC- Mrs. Marcene Hunter Hall, age 80, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Mrs. Hall was born July 10, 1937 in Taxahaw, SC the daughter of the late Marion S. Hunter and Hettie Mahaffey Hunter. She was the wife of 58 years to the late J.C. Vonnie Lee Hall. She retired from Springs Industries, Grace Finishing Plant. Mrs. Hall was a devout Christian. She loved children, her family, especially her son and grandchildren. She was a very loving and compassionate lady. She loved reading and baking. Mrs. Hall was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church, where she was very active. She served on many committees and taught Sunday School and Disciple Training.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her son, Rhett Hall and his wife, Kristi of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Zachary Thomas Hall of San Antonio, TX, Hannah Leigh Hall of Indian Trail, NC, and Ethan Parker, also of Indian Trail, NC; three great grandchildren, Ryleigh Hall, Aubrey Hall and Ella Grace Hall; a brother, Sonny Buddy Hunter and his wife, Joanne of Heath Springs; two sisters, Kathleen Kit Adams and Justine Jack Hunter; and a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved.

Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. Vonnie Lee Hall; four brothers, R.S. Hunter, Bruce Hunter, Elmer Hunter, and Edward Hunter; and a sister, Christine Hunter Love.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hall will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Fork Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Kenny Pittman and Rev. Paul Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Friday, February 9, 2018, at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Fork Hill Baptist Church, 1125 Fork Hill Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.
