LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mrs. Marcene Fox Bailey, age 75, of 135 Bailey Road, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Medical University of Charleston. She was born August 2, 1935 in Lancaster County the daughter of the late Loyd F. Fox and Louise Wolfe Fox and was the wife of Joe R. Bailey. Mrs. Bailey worked as the Administrative Assistant for R.H. Collins Grain for 39 years, was a member of Jackson Lodge Eastern Star, Lancaster Music Study Club and was past president of the Lancaster County Clemson Club IPTAY. She was also an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church having served as a substitute Piano and Organ player for the church, Treasurer for 30 years and former President of the Rock Hill District of United Methodist Women. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband, Joe R. Bailey of the home, a son, Ralph D. Bailey of Great Falls, a daughter, Sue Bailey Meehan and husband Jim of Clemson, SC, 2 brothers, Thomas Fox of Lancaster, Jim Fox of Van Wyck, a sister, Betty F. Broome of Van Wyck and a grandson, Bailey MeehanThe Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Bailey will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Kyle Randall and Rev. Jim Fox. Private Burial.The Family of Mrs. Bailey will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall and suggest memorials to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
