Ms. Madisson Brooke Finley, age 33, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025. She was born July 18, 1992, in Lancaster, SC, the daughter of Eugene "Todd" Finley and Renee Miller Finley.

Madisson was a lifelong sports enthusiast, excelling in softball, volleyball, and basketball. She also shared her passion by coaching t-ball for the Lancaster County Rec. Center. In 2009, she celebrated a State Championship victory with the Buford girls' softball team.

After graduating from Buford High School in 2010, Madisson continued her education at the University of South Carolina Upstate, earning a bachelor's degree in education in 2015. For 10 years, she was a beloved 4th-grade teacher at Pageland Elementary School, where she adored every one of her students.

Madisson also held a deep love for her dog, Tank, and frequently brought him along for visits with her parents and family. Outside of her time with loved ones, she enjoyed watching TV shows, movies, and reading books. One of her unique traditions was celebrating her birthday as a "birthmonth," enjoying the festivities for an entire month each year.

Madisson is survived by her parents, Todd and Renee Finley; her brother, Blake Finley (Taylor); her long-term companion, Antwan Barnes; her grandmothers, Doris "Nana" Miller and Martha "Mimi" Finley; her aunt, Andrea Ghent (Joey); multiple loved cousins; and her close friends, Heather Mackey, Brandi Jameson and her daughter, Landon, Kim Funderburk, Julie Usher, Crystal Tadlock, Amanda McKenzie, and many others.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Vaughn Miller and Eugene "Papa" Finley.

The Celebration of Life Service for Madisson will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Darrell Croft.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
