LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Madeline Knight Carnes, age 90, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation.  She was born May 26, 1930  in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Wesley Burl  Knight and Zennie Ogburn Knight and was the wife of the late Paul Homer Carnes.  Mrs. Carnes retired from Springs Industries – Elliott Plant.  She loved to travel and visited many places with her family and friends.  She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Carnes was the last remaining member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Carnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Della Ann Knight Baker; and three brothers, Wesley B. Knight, Jr., Fred Wilburn Knight and Everette Gene Knight.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Carnes will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Lancaster Memorial Park.
