LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Mabel Barefoot Small, age 85, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 11, 1928 in Chesterfield County, the daughter of the late Ernest Lewis Barefoot and Ida Lina Hall Barefoot and was the wife of the late Roy Small, Jr. Mrs. Small retired from Springs Industries, Customer Service Center and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Small is survived by two sons, Roy Small, III and Philip E. Small and his wife Susie, a daughter, Cheryl S. Rosso and her husband Jack all of Lancaster, six grandchildren, Katherine S. Walters and her husband Turner, Ashley H. Small, Savannah L. Small, Roy "Skip" Small IV and his wife Lisa, Elizabeth S. Phillips and her husband Wes and Lane R. Small, and seven great grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Small will be 2:00 pm, Monday afternoon, August 26, 2013 at The Chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Bateman. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mrs. Small will receive friends following the service at the graveside and suggest memorial contributions to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 1116, Lancaster, SC 29721.
