LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. Lytle Max Jhant, age 92, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He was born August 7, 1923 in Lancaster, a son of the late John Paul Jhant and Mary Robinson Jhant and was the husband of the late Marie Johnson Jhant. Mr. Jhant retired from Spring Industries-Engineering Department. He was a lifetime Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge and served as a Demolay Dad. Mr. Jhant was a Shriner with the Hejaz Temple and served our great country in United States Navy during World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Jhant was survived by a daughter, Pat Caskey of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Max Caskey and his wife, Allison and Marie Horne, and three great grandchildren, Gabriel Caskey and Gracie and Abby Horne.

Mr. Jhant was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Jhant will be 11:00 am, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum by Rev. Charlie Simpson.

The Family will receive friends following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
