LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Lynn Charles James, age 62, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023. He was born August 19,1960, in Lancaster, a son of the late David Spofford James and the late Jackie Delane Knight James. Lynn loved being a baseball coach, he coached at Lancaster Recreation Center, Lancaster High School, and for the Dixie Majors as the State Director. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and going to the beach with family and friends. Lynn was a jokester, he always enjoyed making people laugh. He loved driving, he was a driver for Lancaster Tours, and drove Sheldon Brown's RV. Lynn was a family man and enjoyed spending time with them and was loved by all his family and friends. He was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.

Lynn is survived by his daughter, Savanna Hope James of Cowpens, SC; his granddaughter, Kinsley Lynn James; his two brothers, Anthony James (Jennifer) of McConnell's, and Eddie James (Julie) of Lancaster; his two sisters, Carolyn McDow (Martin) of Lancaster, and Susan Rallings (Mike) of Lancaster; his sister-in-law, Barbara James; special friend, Beth Thompson, and her son, Noah Adams; many special friends and teammates; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Debbie McManus James; two sons, Chad James, and Zach James; a daughter, Katie James; his parents, David and Jackie James; and his brother, Steven James.

The Celebration of Life Service for Lynn will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Jessie Adams and Pastor Cotton Pate.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the home of Susan and Mike Rallings, 664 Providence Rd. Lancaster, SC 29720.
