LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Lynn Lane Denton, age 66, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at her home.  She was born February 7, 1958, in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Maxie John Lane and the late Eula Mae Page Lane and was the loving wife of the late Donald Eugene Denton. Mrs. Denton enjoyed hiking, traveling, visiting waterfalls, and sightseeing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her girlfriends. Mrs. Denton was a member of Catawba Baptist Church.

Mrs. Denton is survived by her daughter, Angel Moody, and her children, Luke Moody, Asher Gurganious, and Genesis Moody; her stepdaughter, Katrina Denton Sims (Claude), and their children, Trent Sims (Katie), and their daughter, Perri, and Tyler Sims (Morgan); her sister, Sheila Allen; her significant other, Rick Whetstone; her niece, Laney Hodges (Gavin); and her two nephews, Brad Gerrald (Brigitte), and Cody Downey (Alexis).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Denton; her parents, Maxie and Eula Lane; her sister, Sharon Downey; and her brother-in-law, Meritt Allen.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Denton will be 3:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Catawba Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Danny Christopher.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2025, at Burgess Funeral Home.
