LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mrs. Lucille Rodgers Monts, age 84, of 172 Tram Road, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at her home. She was born February 1, 1925 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Lonnie Clayton Rodgers and Irene Todd Rodgers and was the wife of William F. Monts, Jr. Mrs. Monts was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Mrs. Monts is survived by her husband, William F. Monts, Jr. of the home, a son, William "Bill" F. Monts, III and his wife Carolyn, a daughter, Amelia M. Davis and her husband Ken all of Lancaster, and 3 grandchildren, Kelly Monts, Susan Davis and Andy Davis.Mrs. Monts was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mildred Small and Margaret Thompson and a brother, W.C. Rodgers. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Monts will be 2:00 pm Tuesday afternoon, September 8, 2009 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Kyle Randall with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The Family of Mrs. Monts will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Monday evening, September 7, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and other times at the home, 172 Tram Road.
