HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~ Mrs. Louise Cauthen Copeland, age 81, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. She was born April 29, 1942, in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Joseph A. Cauthen, Sr. and Emma Mae Kelly Cauthen. Mrs. Copeland enjoyed watching religious television shows, going to church, and taking care of her dogs.  She loved to cook, bake, and spend time with family. Her family said she was an excellent cook, and they especially loved her dressing.  Mrs. Copeland was a member at Lancaster Church of God.

Mrs. Copeland is survived by her son, James Frank Copeland; a sister, Desiree Edwards (Bill); a brother, Ervin D. Cauthen; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Frank Copeland; her parents; a sister, Brindell Medlin; and a brother, Joseph A. Cauthen.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Copeland will be 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
