LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Louise Carnes Bass, age 81, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at White Oak Manor. She was born May 30, 1930 in Jefferson, SC, the daughter of the late Jerles Manley Carnes and Emily Oliver Carnes and was the wife of the late Earl E. Bass, Jr. Mrs. Bass retired from Springs Industries - Employee Sales Store, was a member of the Moriah Seniors, the Oasis Club of First Baptist Church and Springdell Baptist Church. Mrs. Bass is survived by a son, Ronnie D. Bass and his wife Debra, a daughter, Sandra Hammel and her husband Jeff both of Lancaster, a brother; JC Carnes of Lancaster, 2 sisters; Pat Carnes of Lancaster and Bonnie Cauthen of Selma, AL, 3 grandchildren; Chris Hammel, Allison Rossheim, and Brian Bass; and 5 great grandchildren; Mike Melton, Tori Hammel, Trinity Hammel, Jaxon Rossheim, and Dawson Bass.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Bass will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Donald Tillman. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
