LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mr. Louie Edward Lowery, Sr., age 79, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born March 29, 1935 in Kershaw County, the son of the late Riley Lee Lowery and Gracie Boone Lowery and was the husband of Ann Gardner Lowery. Mr. Lowery retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of Jackson Masonic Lodge and the DAV and served our great country in the US Navy.

Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife, Ann G. Lowery, 2 sons, Louie "Ed" Lowery, Jr. and his wife Susan of Hendersonville, NC, and Michael "Mike" Lowery and his wife Sharon of Lancaster, and 4 grandchildren, Brandon Lowery, Michael Lowery Jr. and his wife Lindsey, Justin Lowery and his wife Kelly, and Megan Anderson and her husband Darren, and 2 great grandchildren, Vince and Oliver Anderson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Lowery will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams and Rev. Jack Nunn. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, September 22, 2014 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorials to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Building Fund, 133 S. Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
