LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Lottie Geraldine Jerri Sanders, age 79, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born May 4, 1937 in Chester, a daughter of the late Luther Hunter and Grace Moore Hunter and was the wife of the late Joe Curtis Sanders, Sr. Mrs. Sanders retired from Springs Industries Leroy Plant. She was an avid NASCAR fan. Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch were her favorite drivers. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by three sons, Joe C. Sanders, Jr. and his wife, Janet, Walter Eugene Sanders both of Lancaster, and William Brice Sanders and his wife, Cathy of Blackstock; two brothers, Junior Hunter of Chester and Jessie Hunter of Lancaster; two sisters, Betty Jordan of Camden and Mary Lee Kirkland of Chester; ten grandchildren, Bobby Joe Sanders, Chris Carter, Eugene Sanders, Dana Sanders, Melissa Knight, Tracy Sanders, Brice Sanders, Jason Sanders, Candi Knight, Mandi Whiteside; seventeen great grandchildren, Tristan, Aiden and Alston Gregory, Alexus, Phillip, and Destiny Bryson, Josh Cole, Shannon and Shaun Whiteside, Kaylee Kirk, Morgan and Jordan Small, Joey Sanders, Avery and Summer Sanders, Caleb Knight and Katie Carter; and one great great grandchild, Jasmine Gonzalez.

Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Brenda Sue Knight, two brothers, James Hunter and Grady McCoy Hunter, and a sister, Emogene Houston.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Sanders will be 3:00 pm Friday, May 20, 2016 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Mr. James Mobley.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of Joe and Janet Sanders. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Catawba Baptist Church, 1144 Riverside Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
