LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Lorraine Threatt Hall, age 82, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born December 20, 1940, in Newberry, SC, a daughter of the late Gilbert Hough Threatt and Rosa Bell Wilbanks Threatt and was the wife of the late Edward Floyd Hall. Mrs. Hall enjoyed cooking, canning, going to the beach, singing and organizing gospel singings. Family was most important to her, and she loved having family gatherings and just being together. She attended Bethel Christian Community Church, Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, and One Accord Ministries of Grace.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her children, Terry Cauthen Whitley, David R. Cauthen, Jr, Carolyn Hall Coleman (Brian White), and Angel Hall Hough (Shawn); grandchildren, Jamie Hanna (Ronya), Amanda Lorraine Rogers, Melissa Hancock Drake, Amber Cauthen Steen, Nicholas Cauthen (Amber), Alexandria Cauthen Hall (Jermaine), Chase Coleman, Mikaela Coleman (Donnie Caldwell), Chandler Coleman, Donte DeJesus, Elijah Hough, Frankie Hough, and Ezra Hough; Great grandchildren, Gavyn Hanna (Arianna), Lizzie Hanna, Maddox Rogers, Jerry Daniel "JJ" Rogers, Tyler Drake, George Drake, Madison Drake, Abigail Hall, Brenton Bailey, Ryan Cauthen, Aria Cauthen, and Charleigh Cauthen; great-great grandchildren, Abigail Hanna, Grayson Hanna, and Paris Drake; and siblings, Carolyn "Sissy" Threatt Phillips, Faye Threatt Hopper, Naomi Threatt Proveaux, Stevie Threatt, James Threatt, and son-in-law, Charlie Hanna.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hall; a son, Rodney D. Cauthen Sr; a daughter, Cindy Cauthen Hanna Rubio; grandchildren, Lisa Hanna, Edward Mosley, and Rodney D. Cauthen, Jr.; her parents; and her brother; Gilbert Threatt, Jr.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Hall will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 17, 2023, at Bethel Christian Community Church officiated by Rev. Glenn Ribelin, Rev. Tim Larrimore, and Rev. Melvin Hughes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
