LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Little G. Bill McManus, age 76, entered his heavenly home Saturday, December 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 13, 1940 in Lancaster, a son of the late Ganson G. McManus and Minnie Lee Hinson McManus. He was the husband of the late Bobbie Sue Doster McManus. He was a self-employed contractor. Mr. McManus served our great country in the United States Army. He loved working outdoors and sitting around with his friends, solving the worlds problems. He was a man of few words, so when he talked, everyone listened. Mr. McManus loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Mr. McManus is survived by a son, Ganson Junior McManus and his wife, Wendy of Reno, NV.; two daughters, Donna McManus Cauthen and her husband, Jerry, and Susan McManus Hinson and her husband, Dale, all of Lancaster; a sister, Roxie Jane Morgan and her husband, Junior; six grandchildren, Wesley Threatt and his wife, Nicole, Jay Threatt, Courtney McManus, Garrett McManus, Gage Hinson and Santana Varnadore; and four great grandchildren, Emmalyn Grace, Cole, Layla Jade and Drake.

Mr. McManus was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bobbie Sue McManus; two brothers, J.D. McManus and Charlie McManus; six sisters, Flossie Jenkins, Ollie Sims, Frances Whitaker, Martha White, Mary Ellen McManus and Pamelia Ballard.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. McManus will be 6:00 pm Monday, December 5, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Tim Larrimore. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 5:00 6:00 pm, Monday, December 5, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church, 5003 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC 29721.
