LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Lisa Dorene Gainer Payne, age 67, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at her home. She was born November 19, 1958, in Chester, the daughter of the late Kirby Glenn Gainer and the late Menthlee Cora Baker Gainer McClain and was the loving wife of the late Douglas Lloyd Payne.

Lisa was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, where she dearly loved attending services and spending time with her church family. A devoted servant of the Lord, her faith was a guiding presence throughout her life. She enjoyed reading and treasured the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

Lisa is survived by her three children, Jennifer Payne Hinson (EJ), Kimberly Mazur (Damon), and Cady Payne (significant other, Todd Mills); her five grandchildren, Hannah Grace Arnold, Ian Nicholas Arnold, Cadence Brooke Means, Trace Ernest Hinson, and Madison Leigh Hinson; her brother, John William Gainer (Charlene); her sister, Donna Owens; her special niece, Danielle Owens and many other special family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service for Lisa will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, Lancaster, SC, officiated by Pastor Catlin Rollings. Burial will follow at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home.
