LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Felicia "Lisa" Kay Gonzales Carrier, age 64, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024.  She was born March 23, 1959, in Hornell, NY, daughter of the late Pedro Leonel Gonzales and the late Shirley M. Howard Gonzales. Lisa had an exuberant, faith-filled spirit, and she loved God, her family, and outings with friends. She cared for flowers, music, journaling, reading, long walks and nature, and had a huge soft spot for puppies, kittens, and rocking chairs. Lisa's smile was a beacon of God's grace and goodness.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 19 years, Don "D.C." Carrier; her twin sister, Frances Macheda (Rick); her brother Robert Gonzales (Phyllis), two nieces, Kathryn Gonzales Griffith (Corey), and Amy Gonzales Bird (Drake); three nephews, Brian Gonzales, Michael Beckerman, and Christopher Beckerman; six great nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Kathleen Beckerman, her brother-in-law Joseph Beckerman, nieces Jacqueline Beckerman and Mary Jo Beckerman.

The Celebration of Life Service for Lisa will be on Lisa's birthday, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Retired Pastor, Sidney Wanzer.  Inurnment will be private at Fort Jackson National Cemetery Columbarium.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Jaars, PO Box 248, Waxhaw, NC 28173.
