LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Linda Ann Roberts Terry, age 83, passed away on August 2, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 25, 1943, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Johnnie William Roberts and the late Mattie Eliza Mungo Roberts and was the loving and devoted wife of the late William Benjamin Terry.
Above all, Linda loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her faith was the foundation of the life she lived. She treasured her family beyond measure and was the steady rock they leaned on through every season of life. With a patient heart and a gentle spirit, she showed love to everyone she met, always striving to be a peacemaker and never giving up on anyone. She taught her family not only through her words, but by the example she set each day - how to love, how to persevere, and how to live with grace and faith.
In her quieter moments, she found joy in crocheting and cross-stitching, creating handmade treasures for those she loved, and canning jams and jellies. She was also known for her uncanny ability to pack just about anything into the smallest space, a talent that never failed to amaze her family. Her unwavering love, wisdom, and selfless heart will remain a lasting legacy for all who were blessed to know her.
Mrs. Terry is lovingly survived by her daughter, Julie Terry; her chosen son from another mother, George Hobbs; her two sisters, Mary Sue Roberts Collins (Harold Wiley Collins, Sr), and Barbara Jean Roberts Lindsey (Johnny); two brothers, John Crawford Roberts and Larry Roberts (Phyllis Usher); her sister-in-law and “partner in crime”, Dot Knight; special friends, Lynn Carnes, and Mickey Neal, her neighbor of 53 years; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William B. Terry; her parents, Johnnie and Mattie Roberts; a brother, Keith Wayne Roberts; her sister, Janet Marie Roberts Harris; and a daughter-in-law, Dora Ann McManus Roberts.
