HEATH SPRINGS, SC:::::::Mrs. Linda Wilson Snipes, age 66, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born November 3, 1949 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late William "Jeff" Wilson and Mary Hildebrand Wilson and was the wife of Robert Claude Snipes. Mrs. Snipes was a retired Teacher's Assistant at North Elementary School. She had lots of patience and enjoyed teaching the mentally challenged. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed knitting and traveling. Mrs. Snipes was a member of Camp Creek United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years.
Mrs. Snipes is survived by her husband, Robert Claude Snipes; two sons, Robert Jeffery "Jeff" Snipes and his wife, Janna of Columbia and Brian Christopher Snipes and his wife, Amanda of Lugoff; two grandchildren, Robert Austin Snipes and Patrick William Snipes; a brother, Floyd Wilson of Lancaster, and a sister, Helen Self and her husband, Joe of Kershaw.
Mrs. Snipes was preceded in death by one brother, Willis "Jack" Wilson.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Snipes will be 2:00 pm, Friday, November 6, 2015 at Camp Creek United Methodist Church by Rev. Mike Catoe. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Friday in the church fellowship hall and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Camp Creek United Methodist Church, 4721 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
