LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Linda Smallwood Johnson, age 79, of 810 Monroe Highway, died Friday morning, July 24, 2009 at her home. She was born June 23, 1930 in Jackson County, GA, the daughter of the late Horace Smallwood and Neallie Carthran Smallwood and was the wife of the late Albert Floyd Johnson. Mrs. Johnson retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Lancaster Church of God.Mrs. Johnson is survived by 3 sons, James Johnson of Lexington, SC, Lynn Johnson and his wife Wanda and David Johnson and his fiance Pam Hatchell both of Lancaster, 2 daughters, Florence Johnson Kolb of Lancaster and Barbara Johnson Roebuck of Cayce, 2 sisters, Easter Hasting of Ninety Six, SC and Louise Dorn of Greenwood, SC, 9 grandchildren, Debra Medlin, Jamie Hill, Lori Kolb, Timmy Kolb, W.M. Roebuck, Ronald Roebuck, Crystal Johnson, Dale Johnson and Heather McNeely, and 12 great grandchildren, Kimberly Medlin, Jimmy Medlin, Jr., Brittney Hill, John Hill, Alyssa Kolb, Brett Kolb, Samantha Roebuck, Ashley Roebuck, Heather Roebuck, Cody Roebuck, Chase Roebuck, and Caleb Wallen.Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Ray Johnson, a brother, Clyde Smallwood and 2 sisters, Virginia Wilson and Rexie Burnette.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Johnson will be 3:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, July 26, 2009 at Lancaster Church of God by Rev. Lacy Jones, Rev. Juan Garces and Rev. Michael Johnson with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday evening, July 25, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Lancaster Church of God Building Fund, 1437 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
