LANCASTER, SC . Mrs. Linda Reed Jewett, age 54, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at her home. She was born October 28, 1955 in Toccoa, Georgia, the daughter of the late Tharon Reed and Agnes Pruitt Reed and was the wife of Charles Melvin Jewett, Sr. Mrs. Jewett attended Chester High School, was employed with Reed's Hardware and was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Jewett is survived by her husband, Charles Melvin Jewett of the home, a son, Charles Melvin Jewett, Jr. and his wife Heather of Charlotte, NC, a brother, Don Reed and his wife Becky of Chester, a sister, Earlene Sinclair of Rock Hill, and one grandchild, Obi Jewett. Mrs. Jewett was preceded in death by a daughter, Jenny Rena Jewett.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Jewett will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Larrimore and Rev. Doug Taylor with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Jewett will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday evening, June 22, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 902 West Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.
