LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Linda Ruth Mullis Allen, age 82, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was born February 14, 1941, in Peachland, NC, daughter of the late Theron Lamar Mullis, Sr. and Susan Viola Deese Mullis. Ms. Allen graduated from Wingate College. She retired from Bowater as an Administrative Assistant. Ms. Allen enjoyed doing cross stitch and collecting Precious Moments figurines.  She always put others first and she loved spending time with her family who she loved dearly. Ms. Allen was a member of Taylors Grove Baptist Church where she served as Secretary for the church and Treasurer.

Ms. Allen is survived by her grandchildren, David Gordon (Nicole) and Robyn Mendoza (Mosses); four great grandchildren, Cody Gordon, Braxton Gordon, Chase Gordon, and Aria Mendoza; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Nichols; her parents; son-in-law, Robert Nichols; her siblings, Theron Lamar "TL" Mullis, Jr., Warren Blake Mullis, Roland Hampton Mullis, George Wilson Mullis, Jesse Clement Mullis, Martha Ann Williams, Peggy Joyce Garris, and Josephine Deese; and a special cousin, Trudy Freeman.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Allen will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Taylors Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tommy Howell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
