LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mrs. Lila Irene Goodman Thomas, age 94, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born November 10, 1913 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Joseph Willard Goodman and Catherine Player Goodman and was the wife of the late Ben Oliver Thomas. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of Gourdines Chapel in Andrews, SC.Mrs. Thomas was survived by a son, Robert B. "Bob" Thomas of Fort Mill, 3 daughters, Edwina Sullivan and her husband Ralph of Lancaster, Chris Polutta and her husband Ted of Waynesville, NC and Jenny Thomas of Kershaw, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great - great grandchildren. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca "Jackie" Mercer and a granddaughter, Christianna Mercer. The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Thomas will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Oak Ridge Cemetery by Rev. Themous Cribb in Andrews, SC. The Family of Mrs. Thomas will have a Praise Service at 6:00 pm, Friday, May 30, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve Neal with visitation to follow from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
