LANCASTER, SC~ Mrs. Lessie Lee Lowery Ragsdale, age 82, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte, NC. She was born February 13, 1935, a daughter of the late Maurice Lowery and Gertie Leonard Lowery and was the wife of the late James Jimmy Braskey Ragsdale. Mrs. Ragsdale enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens and she received Yard of the Month several times. She also enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables. Mrs. Ragsdales grandson was her pride and joy. She was a member of Unity ARP Church.

Mrs. Ragsdale is survived by her daughter, Teresa Cabe and her husband, Stephen of Lancaster; a grandson, Adam Cabe of North Charleston; a brother, Melvin Lowery and his wife, Evelyn of Monroe, NC; and three sisters, Virginia Guion and her husband, J.B. of Monroe, NC, Sarah Greene of Monroe, NC and Emma Stiles and her husband, Jack of Batesburg, SC.

Mrs. Ragsdale was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Ragsdale will be 3:00 pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at Unity ARP Church by Rev. Charles Hammond. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
