CHARLOTTE, NC ~ Ms. Lesley Ray Segee Haynes, age 54, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026. She was born February 5, 1972, in Charlotte, NC, a daughter of the late Wesley Allen Segee and Martha Sistare Segee. Lesley had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time in nature. She adored her pets and had a nurturing heart for every animal in her care. She loved to travel, explore new places, and make memories along the way.

Lesley was the kind of person who was always there when someone needed her. She was a helping hand, a listening ear, and a source of comfort to so many. She never judged others, but instead loved and accepted people for exactly who they were. Selfless by nature, Lesley always put others before herself and was quick to volunteer her time and help, never expecting anything in return.

Her beautiful smile could light up any room, and she will always be remembered for that smile and her beautiful black, curly hair. Above all, Lesley was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her kindness, compassion, and unconditional love touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lesley is lovingly survived by her son, Brock Robert Haynes; her mother, Martha Sistare Segee; three brothers, Michael Ashley (Keyna), Michael Segee (Marilyn), and Jeffery Segee (Carlene); her sister, Kathy Hood (Steve); her nieces, Shana Ashley (Archie), Brittney Helms (Robbie), Jessica Segee, Ashley Segee, and Gracen Segee (Andrew); her nephews, Logan Segee (Ansley), Landon Bostin, and Blake Bostin; many great-nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins; her father-in-law, John Oram; and two special friends, Erin Moore and Heidi Gollinger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Segee; her maternal grandparents, Ray and Mae Sistare; her paternal grandparents, George and Edna Segee; and her mother-in-law, Regie Oram.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Burgess Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Among those left to cherish Lesley’s memory is her beloved cat, Biscuit, who was a cherished member of her family and held a very special place in her heart. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Lesley’s memory may make a memorial contribution to MAC Tabby Cat Café, 3204 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205.
