FORT MILL, SC ~ Mr. LeRoy "Buzzy" Hammond Adams III, age 80, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021.  He was born January 26, 1941, in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late LeRoy Hammond Adams Jr. and Mary Matilda Yoder Adams and was the husband of the late Vicky Rose Kephart Adams.  Mr. Adams was a "tinkerer" he never called a repair man, he always did everything himself. His children said, "he should have been an engineer". He loved antique cars and watching Nascar. In his younger years, he enjoyed flying model airplanes, and going to the dirt track.

Mr. Adams is survived by his daughter, Dana Denton (Craig); two sons, David Adams (Tina), and Daniel Adams (Robin); eight grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Smith, Sarah Adams, Jacob McIntosh, Patricia Byrant (Chris), Daniel Adams, Leah Opyrchal, Dakota Krc (Jessi), and Samuel Adams; six great grandchildren, Campbell Smith, Finnley Smith, London Bryant, Elijah Bryant, Annabeth Krc, and Fern Opyrchal; and his dog, PDee.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by wife of 33 years, Vicky Rose Kephart Adams; his parents, LeRoy Adams Jr., and Mary Adams McGillicuddy; and his dog, Nicki.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Adams at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Van Wyck Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Carson Overstreet.
