LANCASTER, SC:::::Mrs. Lennie Hunter Hilton, age 89, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at her home. She was born March 16, 1926 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Nettie Hunter Dunlap and was the wife of the late Heyward M. Hilton. Mrs. Hilton retired from Springs Industries and worked for Belk Department Store after her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hilton is survived by two sons, Mac Hilton of Charlotte and Kenneth H. Hilton and his wife Betty of Lancaster; two daughters, Joyce H. McClure and her husband Shelton of Beaumont, Texas and Lori Hilton of Columbia; three grandchildren, Angela, Jeffery and Rhett, and seven great grandchildren, Jeffery, Haylee, Ashlee, Nicholas, Alex, Morgan and Jacob.
Mrs. Hilton was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Brown and a brother, Roy Hunter.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hilton will be 11:00 am, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Randy Hatcher. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 670, Lancaster, SC 29721 or Hospice of Lancaster, 901 W. Meeting Street, Suite 201, Lancaster, SC 29720.
