LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Lawrence Evans Mills, age 88, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his home.  He was born May 17, 1933, in Ruby, SC, the son of the late John English Mills and Ida May Outen Mills and was the husband of Jettie Neal Mills.  Mr. Mills enjoyed bird watching, yard sales, fishing, antiques, and refinishing furniture. He was an avid Clemson Tiger and NASCAR fan. Mr. Mills was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.

Mr. Mills is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jettie Mills; a daughter, Barbara Rollings (Mike); three sons, John "Robbie" Mills (Jackie), Mark Mills (Linda), and Sidney Mills (Sarah); five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Austin.

Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steve Mills; the mother of his children, Bonnie Mills; and eleven siblings.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Mills will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Jessie Adams and Rev. Tommy Moser.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Building Fund, 133 S Potter Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
