LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Lawrence "Larry" Collins, age 60, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his home. He was born April 18, 1955 in Union County, NC, the son of the late John Pryor Collins and Laura Blanche Rogers Collins and was the husband of Debby Phillips Collins. Mr. Collins was employed with Old Castle Lawn and Garden. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and helping people. He loved preaching and teaching God's word and attended New Harvest Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Debby Phillips Collins; two sons, David Collins and his wife Lynn and Tim Collins and his fiancé Chrissy Miller, all of Charlotte; a daughter, Angela Collins Rodriguez and her husband Hector of Indian Land; six sisters, Merle Helms and her husband Jack of Monroe, Becky Daniels and her husband Bill of Kansas, Laura Kimbrell and her husband Richard of Rock Hill, Blanche Vinson of Georgia, Diane McBroom of Rock Hill, and Zelda Ghent of Indian Land, six grandchildren, Justin, John, Hannah, Erik, Alexis, and Trey and one great granddaughter, Melanie.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Collins will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2015 at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Mitch Ingram.

The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday evening, July 30, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and in lieu of flowers, suggest memorial contributions be made to New Harvest Freewill Baptist Church, 2086 Old Camden Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
