LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. Larry Gene Stacks, age 68, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Lancaster Convalescent Center. He was born March 17, 1947 in Monroe, NC, a son of the late Frank S. Stacks and Evie Starnes Stacks. Mr. Stacks retired from Spring Industries. He loved horses and enjoyed showing them. He also enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and watching his grandchildren play ball. Mr. Stacks was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Stacks was survived by a son, Richard Stacks and his wife, Sharon V.; his former wife, Judy Stacks; a brother, Jim Stacks; two sisters, Martha Stevens and Ann Funderburk and her husband, Johnny; five grandchildren, Taylor and Bailey Stacks, Morgan and Cassie Bailey, and Damien McElveen, all of Lancaster.

Mr. Stacks was preceded in death by five brothers, Joe Stacks, Ware Stacks, Nay Stacks, Frank Stacks, Jr. and Hoyt Stacks; and two sisters, Buelah McDonald and Evelyn Flannigan.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Stacks will be 3:00pm, Thursday, November 12, 2015 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Rod Yow.

The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to High Point Baptist Church, 1888 Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Rich Hill Baptist Church, 1557 E. Doc Garris Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
