LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Dennis Larry Snipes, age 65, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020.  He was born November 29, 1953, a son of the late Andrew Snipes and Louise Bradley Snipes and was the husband of Betty Bailey Snipes.  Larry enjoyed working on lawn mowers, go kart racing, bowling, and watching birds.  He loved to socialize and eat out with his friends as often as he could.  Larry's family was his world and he loved them dearly.

Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Snipes; his son, Dennis Snipes; his daughter, Rhonda Broyles; four grandchildren, Jeremy Broyles, Austin Broyles, Cody Woods, and Tiffany Woods; two great grandchildren, Silas Broyles, and Landon Adams; and his brother, Mike "Wormy" Snipes.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Dusty Snipes.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Larry will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Calvin Snipes. Due to ongoing public health concerns, the family asks that those who consider attending will use all judgement and discernment and follow the recommendations of the CDC and Governor.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC, and other times at the home of Dennis Snipes.
