LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Larry Wayne Sims, Sr., age 68, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at MUSC Lancaster.  He was born October 26, 1952, in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late James Douglas Sims and Myrtle Faile Sims and was the husband of Teresa Cauthen Sims.  Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He retired from Terminix and Home Depot.  Larry enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and hunting.  He loved his family dearly.

Larry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Teresa Sims; his son, Larry W. Sims, Jr. (Terri); his daughter, Lisa Vinson (Jeremy); three grandchildren, Kailey Sims, Beverly Sims, Breanna Vinson; and one great grandchild, Jai Sims.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Larry will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.  Burial will be private.
