CAMDEN, SC ~ Mr. Larry Joe Hinson, age 72, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born December 6,1950, in Monroe, NC, a son of the late Carlton Oday Hinson, Sr. and Ethel Lee Dunn Hinson and was the husband of Vicki Phillips Hinson. Larry retired as a Plant Engineer from Springs Industries. He served in the United States Army Reserves. Larry enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, being on the lake, and loved Clemson football.  He was a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church.

Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vicki Hinson; his son, Chris Hinson; his daughter, Monica Hinson; two grandchildren, Ainsley Hinson and Alyssa Hinson; a brother-in-law, Tom Day; a sister-in-law, Gail Hinson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roger Hinson and Rusty Hinson; two sisters, Sylvia Beckham and Linda Day; a brother-in-law, James Beckham; and a sister-in-law, Judy Hinson.

The Celebration of Life for Larry will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Lakeside Pavilion, 52 Nautical Drive, Camden, SC 29020. The family will receive friends following the service at Lake Wateree Sail Club, 67 Nautical Drive, Camden, SC 29020.

Burial will be private.
