Obituary
LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Larry Catoe, age 59, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. He was born March 28, 1955 in Lancaster, the son of the late Huey Wilson Catoe and Alma Elizabeth Adams Catoe. Mr. Catoe retired from Atlantic Locomotive and was previously employed with L & C Railway. He enjoyed farming and fishing and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Catoe is survived by two daughters, Christina Milazzo and her husband Joe of Key Largo, FL and Mindy Denae Nicodemus and her partner, Tony Divers of Charlotte, NC, his former wife, Candice Stroud Weeks of Lancaster, 7 brothers, Bobby W. Catoe, Sr. (Santa) of Lancaster, Donald Catoe (Abby) of East Bend, NC, Charles Catoe, Phillip "Gator" Catoe (Aurelia), Jimmy Catoe (Cindy), Jerry "Jake" Catoe and Billy W. Catoe (Kim) all of Lancaster, 3 sisters, Dorothy Williams (Tim) of Lancaster, Brenda Catoe and B.J. Rushing both of Myrtle Beach, 4 grandchildren, Ariel Milazzo, Kayla Milazzo, Benjamin Mullis and Lillian Mullis, and 1 great grandchild, Audrey Milazzo.
Mr. Catoe was preceded in death by a brother, Travis L. Catoe, a sister, Patricia Ann Wallace and a brother in law, Raymond Wallace.
A Service of Remembrance for Mr. Catoe will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Elgin Baptist Church by Rev. Benjamin Nolen and Rev. Donnie Birchfield. Burial will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Family of Mr. Catoe will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, April 11, 2014 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 or the Levine Cancer Institute, 1021 Morehead Medical Drive, Charlotte, NC 28204.
The Family will be at the home of Kurt and Candice Weeks, 663 Adams Lane, Lancaster, SC.
A Service of Remembrance for Mr. Catoe will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Elgin Baptist Church.
