LANCASTER, SC - Mr. Harold "Knox" Bailey, Jr., age 57, passed away Monday morning, October 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 4, 1967, the son of the late Harold Knox Bailey, Sr. and the late Lucy Rollins Parks and was the loving husband of Mary Elaine Threatt Bailey.

Knox, known for building race cars in his shop and building model cars in his free time, is a member of the Lancaster Motor Speedway Hall of Fame. He had a passion for dirt track racing and was a devoted Clemson football fan. He deeply adored his grandson, Owen, and was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.

Knox is survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Mary Bailey; his children, Brittani Howington (Drew), and Bryan Outen; his grandson, Owen Howington; his aunt Ethel (Clark); and special friends, Steve, Travis, Brandy, Andy S., Tony W, and Wild Bill Knight.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Bailey, Sr. and Lucy Parks; and his sister, Anita Langley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Knox will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
