LANCASTER, SC – Kirkland "Kirk" Blythe Newton, age 29, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024. He was born May 13, 1994, in Lancaster, the son of Paula Michelle Britt and Raymond Glenn Newton. Kirk was very confident in all he had done. He was strong-willed and independent. He taught himself how to play the guitar and enjoyed playing every chance he could. Kirk loved working on his car, writing, drawing, and his fur baby, Khia.

Kirk is survived by his mother, Michelle Britt; his father, Raymond Newton (Angie); his three siblings, Justin Cody Britt, Mckinsey Newton, and James Colby Newton; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Betty Britt; his paternal grandmother, Edith Newton; and his girlfriend, Jada Sowell.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Norman Newton.

The Celebration of Life Service for Kirk will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 27, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Brian Saxon. Burial will follow at Canaan Land Ministries Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm– 8:00 pm, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Burgess Funeral Home.
