LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. Kim Thomas Waits, age 55, died Sunday, April 12, 2015. He was born March 15, 1960 in Lancaster, the son of the late Richard Lorenza Waits and Evelyn Ghent Waits and was the husband of Julia Arant Waits. Mr. Waits was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing, working in his shop and watching his grandchildren play ball. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Canaan Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Waits is survived by his wife, Julia Arant Waits, two sons, Thomas Bradley Waits and his wife Aryn of Burlington, NC and Robert Ervin Waits and his wife Kimberly of Lancaster, a brother, Richard Waits and his wife Dianne of Fort Lawn, three sisters, Brenda Morgan and her husband Dwayne of Lancaster, Wanda Booth also of Lancaster and Evelyn Keener and her husband Billy of Fort Lawn, a brother in law, Pat Smith and two grandchildren, Robert Colby Waits and Kylie Nicole Waits.

Mr. Waits was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Smith and two grandchildren, Emily Waits and Meagan Waits.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Waits will be 1:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Canaan Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Jeremy Overstreet and Rev. Wesley Campbell. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mr. Waits will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday evening, April 15, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org.
