MURFREESBORO, TN, – Jan Kevin Cooley, age 61, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 doing what he loved. He was born November 7, 1961, in Honea Path, SC, a son of the late Gilbert H. Cooley and Agnes Long Cooley.  Kevin loved go kart racing, especially his 41-A speedway family, RC car racing, fishing, and artwork.  He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  Kevin was also great at auto body work.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Meredith Evans (Steven); four grandchildren, Hannah Steen, Ali Steen, Kaitlyn Evans, Steven Evans, Jr.; a brother, James Edward Boyd; a special niece, Karen Boyd Sharp (Rusty); many other nieces and nephews; and special family members, Jimmy and Karen Neal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bobby Joe Boyd.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Kevin will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Karen Sharp's home, 112 Steve Roberts Rd, Smyrna, TN 37167.
